Communications Awards Shortlist 2007

The shortlist for the Coop/LCR Communications Awards 2007 has been announced. The following councils have been shortlisted for the Newsletter of the Year:

While for the Website of the Year, the shortlist comprises:

• Claygate Parish Council      
• Misterton Parish Council      
• Denmead Parish Council

And finally for the Annual Report of the Year, the list is

These councils have been recognised for their distinct contributions they are making to engage with their communities over the past 12 months. We know that all councils and clerks are making valuable communications contributions to their local residents - but these awards are detailing those who have excelled at this in the last year.

Kate Saunders, editor of LCR said: "We welcomed the applications and bids we received from councils. The high standard of entries shows that there are thousands of parish and town councils realising the importance of communicating their key messages to the public."

A prize of £350 contribution to a community project will be going to the winners of the Coop/LCR communications awards.
