Dear Colleagues
As you may be aware the administrative procedures regarding where QPS application portfolios need to be sent and stored has changed. Following accreditation to the Quality Scheme, County Accreditation Panels will hold councils application portfolios for a period of four months at which point they will be returned to the council. Previously County Accreditation Panels were required to send portfolios to the NALC offices. The reason that portfolios should be held for a four month period is that the National Stakeholders will be requesting a small number of portfolios each quarter to review consistency of evaluation. This will not affect your Quality status.
Given the changes to the storage of portfolios we would like to offer Quality councils the opportunity to reclaim their original Quality portfolio (initial accreditations 03-08). However, in order to return portfolios we will be required to charge postage. Therefore, if you would like to take your portfolio back please contact Lisa Palmer on lisa.palmer@nalc.gov.uk, who will be able to let you know what the postal costs would be and arrange delivery. Unfortunately this is a time limited offer so we would ask that anyone who would like their portfolio let us know by 31 March 2009. After this date portfolios will be disposed of.
Regards
Dave Mahon, Development Officer
