Working together to help protect communities

NALC and BHIB Insurance Brokers have started to act together in providing protection for local councils and communities.

BHIB Insurance Brokers is the preferred partner of Aviva, the long-standing insurance provider in the local council sector, and chosen to replace Aon. Aviva has confirmed their ongoing support and involvement with NALC and has endorsed and confirmed their confidence in BHIB Insurance Brokers. 

With the current financial climate time where local councils are increasingly acting as a safety net to maintain vital services for communities, it is more important than ever to have sector experts that can be relied on to support the work and provide risk management and insurance protection in delivering services.

Cllr Sue Baxter, chairman of NALC, said: “ An important aspect here is insurance and risk management cover. We have the assurance of working with BHIB Insurance Brokers, one of the leading independent commercial insurance brokers with a proud history of over 50 years and our principal insurance broker partner, to support councils in all parts of their daily activities.”
