The Parish of Hemsworth has an estimated population of 13,533 (2011 Census figures) and a total electorate of 10,145. There are 15 locally elected councillors – nine representing Hemsworth Wards (South, East and West), three for Kinsley and three for Fitzwilliam.
Newport Pagnell Town Council runs five allotment sites, three community centres, and has a large leisure portfolio, including a swimming pool, sports and leisure facility, and a new £1.1m fitness suite, attached to the swimming pool. The council are also just about to take on the Newport Pagnell Youth Club under the Community Asset Transfer Scheme from our principal authority.
Hullbridge is tucked away in the northwest corner of Rochford District and is home to 7,300 residents. Green belts on three boundaries and the River Crouch on the northern boundary surround it. With over two miles of river frontage the parish is well used by the local boating fraternity. Hullbridge has numerous facilities, Recreation Ground, Nature Reserve, Allotment Site, a network of well-maintained footpaths, which meander through the surrounding farmland and along the River Crouch.
