The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has been featured on the latest podcast by the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC).

NALC chair, Cllr Keith Stevens, spoke to the SLCC at their National Conference in October 2023. During the podcast, Cllr Stevens shared valuable insights into the inner workings of NALC by highlighting the functioning and structure of its committees.

Cllr Stevens took the opportunity to articulate NALC's broader mission and how, as chair, he promotes the work of and campaigns for England's 10,000 local (parish and town) councils. He emphasised his role in advocating for local councils and how he champions their causes.

Cllr Stevens shared his main aims for councils: "Some of them on standards, but it's mainly empowering communities to do things". Cllr Stevens closes by reminding listeners to keep updated with NALC's work by signing up to the mailing list and the website.
