Your chance to vote – NALC Larger Councils’ Committee elections 2019-20!

The online voting period for the 2019-20 NALC Larger Councils’ Committee elections has now started.  The nomination period ended on 7 September 2018 for the positions of:

  • Direct councillor (x4);
  • Elected councillor (x2); &
  • Super Councils’ Network representative (x2).

Voting will be online only.  There will be no election for the posts of Super Councils’ Network (SCN) representative as two nominations were received for two posts.  The names of the elected SCN representatives for 2019-20 are;

  • Cllr. Sandie Webb (Chippenham Town Council); &
  • Cllr. Richard Parry (Sevenoaks Town Council).

Who can vote

Online votes can only be cast by larger councils with either an electorate of 6,000 people or more; or an annual budgeted income or spend of £500,000 or more.  Councils must be members of their county and National Associations of Local Councils.  One completed online voting form per larger council for the direct councillor and elected clerk votes only will be accepted.  Online voting will close at 17:00 on Monday 5 November 2018.  Results will be published online on 6 November 2018.
