NALC congratulates New Year honours 2015

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) would like to congratulate individuals from the parish and town councils sector on being recognised in the New Year's Honours list.

Cllr Ken Browse, chairman of NALC, said: “Congratulations to everyone from the parish and town councils sector who has received an award in the New Year's Honours list. It is brilliant that these people have been acknowledged in this way for their outstanding contribution, impact on public service and dedication to local communities.“

Community Services:

  • Cllr Doreen Gibbings, Shipton Moyne Parish Council, receives a BEM for services to the community  

  • Cllr Julia Job, Down Ampney Parish Council, receives a BEM for services to the community

  • Cllr Graham Spencer, Tatenhall and District Parish Council and Neigbourhood Champion, receives a BEM for services to the community

  • Cllr Josephine Mary Graves, Chipping Norton Town Council, receives a BEM for services to the community

  • Cllr Michael David Booth, Sutton Bridge Parish Council, receives a BEM for services to the community

  • Cllr Michael Wilson, Ruston Parish Council, receives a MBE for services to the community

  • Cllr James Waldron, Bishops Tawton Parish Council, receives a BEM for services to the community

Local Government:

  • Cllr Ronald Edward Ley, Ilfracombe Town Council, receives a MBE to the community
