Don't be told 'no' on election day – make sure you're registered!
The General Election is now just over seven weeks away, but many people will be unable to have their say unless they take action now.
The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) is supporting the campaign – launched by the Electoral Commission today – to make sure everyone who wants to vote is registered.
It's simple: if you are not on the electoral register, you won't be able to vote. If that's you, why not take five minutes to register online. It's really important to do this by the deadline of 20 April 2015.
If you're already on the register, why not use this chance to join the campaign and spread the message amongst your friends and family?
Here's what you can do:
- Share a link to the Electoral Commission's campaign video on social media
- Tweet a link or tell your friends and family that they can register online
Remember: the deadline to register to vote is 20 April 2015. Your vote matters: make sure you're in!
