Danbury Parish Council has 13 elected councillors with an estimated population of 6,000 residents and a precept of £205,252. The council is also accredited with The Quality Gold under the National Association of Local Councils’ (NALC) Local Council Award Scheme.
The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) is today calling for the Government to invest more money in community transport in rural areas across England – and to clarify the rules around the use of community transport by local (parish and town) councils.
The Department for Transport has issued a new consultation on the vehicle operator licensing system which is due to come into force by 1 April 2020. NALC will be responding.
