The council is looking for a proactive person with considerable administrative and organisational skills, however, they also need an excellent manager, leader, innovator and ambassador to partner our elected members in delivering their strategy.

You will be determined that the council meets local government best practice standards and will ensure the efficient and effective implementation of council decisions. You will attend meetings with the chairman and ideally, you will be at least CiLCA qualified or prepared to study for the qualification.

The executive officer is supported by a strong team consisting of a responsible financial officer, deputy clerk, committee clerk and head groundsman and team. The burial ground, sports facilities and green spaces are all managed by the council.

Denmead is the second largest village within the Winchester City Council district, we have a made neighbourhood plan with ambitions of building a new multi-use sports area and village hall in the next couple of years.
