NALC calls on local councils to complete a new survey on climate change

survey

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) is calling on local (parish and town) councils to complete its new survey on climate change.

The survey will explore what local councils are currently doing to tackle climate change in their local area, the challenges they encounter and the difficulties they face when executing actions.

The survey will help paint an accurate picture of what is truly happening in the local council sector and will help NALC support local councils to help create more sustainable communities.

NALC chairman, Cllr Sue Baxter, said: "The effects of climate change are being felt all across England. From flash floods to scorching summers. Local councils can make a practical change on the ground, and this survey will uncork some valuable information. I encourage all councils to complete the survey."

The deadline to complete the survey is 29 January 2021.
