Newent Town Council is a proactive council in the Forest of Dean which provides a wide range of quality services. The council is seeking a CiLCA qualified, highly motivated forward-thinking individual who has excellent organisational, leadership, IT and administrative abilities and a good knowledge of local government; as well as a proven track record in financial management.
The town clerk is responsible for carrying out all the functions of the proper officer and also the responsible financial officer, providing effective leadership and management of staff, services and facilities. The role is challenging and you will be required to work evenings regularly and occasionally at weekends. You will be supported by a committed team of five staff.
