NALC seeks views on place-based regeneration

views

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has called on local (parish and town) councils to complete a survey on the role of business in place-based regeneration.

With many local councils increasingly working with businesses in their community, the survey, which closes on 24 November 2021, will examine several key themes, which includes:

  • Understanding the key drivers and barriers for business engagement
  • Facilitating cross-sector working
  • Lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic
  • How businesses can have a transformative impact in their communities

The Business in the Community Place Taskforce leads the call for evidence. The Business in the Community (BITC) is the largest and longest established business-led membership organisation dedicated to responsible business. BITC is setting out to capture and showcase what works in transforming the prospects of a place to create a blueprint for business engagement in place-based transformation, with the findings shared in a report next year.
