The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) will hold its first in-person conference since 2019 on why professional standards and ethics matter.

Standards Matter takes place on 3 March 2023 at the America Square Conference Centre in London.

Professional standards and ethics matter. They provide confidence, increase reputation, define best practices, and boost legitimacy in the public, private or voluntary sectors. With the first tier of local government responsible for over £3 billion of public money and assets, striving for higher standards has never been more critical. Good governance, civility and respect, training and development, and continuous improvement are the foundations of effective and well-functioning local councils.

Join NALC’s first in-person event since 2019 on this topical theme, allowing attendees to engage in a wide-ranging programme focussing on some of the crucial standards issues and topics facing the sector.

You will have opportunities to put your questions to expert panellists and speakers, visit the sector-specific exhibition, network and share good practices, and participate in The Big Debate.

Ticket prices start from £60. The conference is sponsored by BHIB Councils Insurance, Blachere Illumination and CCLA.
