Session
The government's ambition to shift power, funding and accountability closer to communities could fundamentally change the way local government works. But where do parish and town councils fit into this new landscape?
With the next phase of devolution taking shape, this session will put the spotlight on the role of England's most local tier of government. Explore what greater devolution could mean for parish and town councils, the opportunities to play a bigger role in shaping local growth and public services, and what powers, funding and support will be needed to make that ambition a reality.
An opportunity to hear directly from the government, understand its vision for the future of local government and ask the questions that matter for the communities parish and town councils serve.
