Education and localities advocacy consultant, Carbon Literacy Trust
Linda Foley's background is in youth work, education, social justice and environmental activism. Linda is a councillor who works with many partners, across all political parties, to share policies to make life better for people now and for future generations. She is passionate about Carbon Literacy Training as an effective tool to help people and organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and push for change. Her role with the Carbon Literacy Project is to support the delivery of the Carbon Literate Educator’s Award in secondary schools and help Manchester in its ambition to become the first Carbon Literate City in the world.

Climate action lead, Frome Town Council
Matt Mellen is leading Frome Town Council’s programme to address the climate emergency and coordinate town-wide action toward a net zero carbon Frome by 2030, with a focus on improving health, wellbeing and economic sustainability. He is developing and driving a comprehensive adaptation and mitigation strategy, working to empower individuals and organisations to adopt changes that contribute to the town’s environmental goals. Through his role, Matt plays a central part in translating climate ambition into practical, collaborative action across the Frome community.

Community action on energy lead, Centre for Sustainable Energy
Harriet Sansom is the community action on energy lead at the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE), with over 17 years of experience in the sustainability sector and more than a decade specialising in energy issues. An RTPI-qualified planner, she works directly with communities and grassroots organisations to build engagement in sustainable energy, co-create solutions and increase participation, particularly among marginalised groups. Harriet has led projects on neighbourhood planning, rural landscapes and heritage retrofit, and is particularly focused on applying Just Transition principles through deliberative methods with stakeholders. She also has extensive experience in research, evaluation and programme design, including managing grants, developing energy upskilling initiatives and delivering workshops.
