Assistant town clerk

A brand new role, in a three year old council and an exciting opportunity to help drive our vision: working closely with the town clerk, the post holder will oversee all matters related to the Planning and Highways committee, from arranging and attending meetings, to managing a number of projects associated with environmental improvements and public realm. They will also work with the town clerk to assist in developing a project to acquire a public building and then take on a role to eventually manage the facility. In addition, they will occasionally deputise for the town clerk, attend meetings representing the town council and provide support at council events. We are looking for a hands-on all-round professional who is ambitious, a team player and proactive. Training and coaching will be provided.
