Deputy town clerk

As the council's proper officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration of the council and fulfilling the statutory duties of the proper officer. This includes overseeing all aspects of staff management, advising the council on governance and legal matters, and ensuring that all statutory functions and notifications are carried out in accordance with legislation.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who holds the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification and is committed to delivering high-quality services for the community.
The post is 37 hours per week and is subject to a three-month probationary period.
Salary: From £50,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
