NALC call for evidence on the Infrastructure Levy

planning

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) call for evidence on the Infrastructure Levy after the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLHUC) issued a consultation.

The Infrastructure Levy is a reform to the existing system of developer contributions- Section 106 planning obligations and the Community Infrastructure Levy in England. The Community Infrastructure Levy is a charge which can be levied by local authorities on new development in their area.

DLUHC issued a consultation on the Levy to inform the technical aspects of the design of the Levy and of regulations that set out its operation in detail. NALC will respond to the consultation before closing on 9 June 2023.
