Honouring Cllr Keith Stevens
We are deeply saddened to share that our chair, Cllr Keith Stevens, has passed away following a brief serious illness.
Cllr Stevens was a deeply respected and much-loved figure within the parish and town council sector. As chair of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) since 2021, he championed the vital role of parish and town councils, working tirelessly to strengthen the voice of communities across England.
Known for his warmth, kindness, and inclusive leadership, Cllr Stevens earned the admiration and respect of councillors and colleagues nationwide. His commitment to public service and his belief in the power of community-level councils to make a difference in people's lives leave a lasting legacy.
At this difficult time, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Cllr Steven's family, friends, colleagues and all those whose lives he touched.

The funeral will be held for family and close friends on 5 December 2025. In lieu of flowers, Cllr Steven's family invites donations to The Brain Tumour Charity to help fund their vital work, including life-saving research and efforts to increase awareness of the symptoms.
