NALC Annual Conference 2027: tickets now on sale

We have opened bookings for our Annual Conference 2027, bringing together the parish and town council sector to explore the changes reshaping local government and help shape what comes next.

Taking place on 23 June 2027 at 1 Wimpole Street, London, the conference will examine the future of devolution, local government reorganisation and the opportunities for parish and town councils to play a greater role in shaping their communities.

With the government's devolution and local government reorganisation agenda continuing to develop, the conference will explore progress so far, the experiences of parish and town councils and what the next phase of reform could mean for the sector.

The programme will also tackle some of the biggest issues facing parish and town councils, including our campaign for a stronger standards regime, the changing local government finance landscape, proper practices and local audit, and the role of councils in building more resilient communities.

Sessions will bring together expert insight, informed debate and practical examples to help parish and town councils understand the changes ahead and identify opportunities to influence local priorities and decision-making.

Highlights include sessions on where parish and town councils fit in the government's vision for devolution and the role of the sector, examining the case for reform and the steps councils can take to tackle poor behaviour, and looking at the financial issues councils need to understand.

Attendees will also hear how parish and town councils can build stronger relationships with strategic authorities, prepare for emergencies and improve community resilience, including practical lessons from councils tackling repeated flooding.

The conference will provide an opportunity for councillors, clerks and others working in the sector to share perspectives, challenge existing thinking and consider how parish and town councils can help shape the future of local government.
