NALC calls for submissions for new devolution case study publication

We are inviting parish and town councils to share their experiences of devolution and local government reorganisation for a forthcoming case study publication.

Building on our previous series of case studies covering planning, young people, climate change, and health and wellbeing, our latest edition will focus on devolution. The publication will showcase a wide range of examples, from asset transfers and devolved responsibilities to engagement with combined authorities and metro mayors, the creation of new councils, and work with other models of neighbourhood governance. It will highlight best practices and inspire other parish and town councils across the country.

Parish and town councils with relevant experience are encouraged to get involved and highlight how devolution has shaped their communities.

Submitting a case study is straightforward, with parish and town councils asked to complete a simple form by 12 November 2025.
