NALC unveils four exciting new online courses

We’re excited to introduce four brand-new online training courses designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of parish and town councils. The courses cover first aid, mental health, neurodiversity at work, and working with volunteers. These key areas support personal growth and professional effectiveness.

Each course offers an interactive learning experience, blending reading, videos, quizzes, and real-world case studies to keep you engaged. Plus, you’ll receive a certificate to showcase your new skills upon completion.

We are committed to continuous improvement in the parish and town council sector. These latest additions offer 28 essential skills courses tailored for councillors, clerks, and council staff. Our courses cover everything from civility and respect to IT and online skills and introductions to the local council sector.

The courses are £16 per course (payable by credit or debit card) and available for all council members, with some regional exceptions. If you are a parish or town council in Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire & West Midlands, or Yorkshire, contact your county association for enrolment details and prices may vary.
