NALC urges participation in devolution survey

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Smaller Councils’ Committee met on 2 August 2016 and agreed to compile a survey on developing capacity in smaller councils.

The aim of the survey is to find out how devolution will affect local councils but especially smaller councils. The survey is linked to devolution of services within local government.

The survey will supplement the committee's work last year in indentifying examples of shared services.

The deadline for response is 30 September 2016 and will be discussed at the NALC Annual Conference 2016.
