NALC announces the latest Local Council Award Scheme results
We have announced the latest quarterly results for the Local Council Award Scheme (LCAS).
Bembridge Parish Council on the Isle of Wight achieved the Gold Award. The Gold Award demonstrates that a parish or town council aspires to excellence and is at the forefront of best practice by achieving a high standard in community governance, leadership and performance management.
Ashover Parish Council in Derbyshire, Brixworth Parish Council in Northamptonshire, Evenley Parish Council in Northamptonshire, Hullbridge Parish Council in Essex, Middleton-in-Teesdale and Newbiggin Parish Council in County Durham, Waltham on the Wolds and Thorpe Arnold Parish Council in Leicestershire and Wickham St Pauls Parish Council in Essex achieved the Silver Award. The Silver Award demonstrates that a parish or town council achieves good practice in governance, community engagement and council improvement, going beyond its legal obligations and continuously seeking opportunities to improve and develop.
Aston Clinton Parish Council in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, Mickleton Parish Council in Gloucestershire, Stilton Parish Council in Cambridgeshire and Wincanton Town Council in Somerset achieved the Bronze Award. The Bronze Award demonstrates that a parish or town council has the required documentation and information to operate lawfully and according to standard practice and has the foundations and policies for improvement and development in place.
LCAS celebrates the successes of parish and town councils and provides a framework to support councils in improving and developing to their full potential.
