NALC urges parish and town councils to encourage MPs to attend White Ribbon Day parliamentary reception
As White Ribbon Day approaches, we are reaffirming our strong support for efforts to end men's violence against women and girls as a White Ribbon Accredited organisation.
White Ribbon UK is encouraging Members of Parliament (MPs) to attend its White Ribbon Day parliamentary reception on 3 December 2025, from 5.15 pm to 7.00 pm in Westminster.
White Ribbon UK is the leading charity in engaging men and boys to challenge harmful gender norms and promote equality, safety, and respect. The parliamentary reception will showcase this important work and provide MPs with the opportunity to demonstrate their support by wearing a White Ribbon during the UN's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
White Ribbon UK has produced a short template email and guidance on how to find and contact your MP. We are encouraging all parish and town councils to use this information to reach out to their local MP and invite them to attend the event. By contacting your MP, you can help ensure they show their commitment to creating communities where everyone is safe, equal, and respected.
