NALC announces Larger Councils Committee election results

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has just completed the elections process for 2019-21 for its Larger Councils Committee (its corporate voice for larger local councils).

There were four vacancies available for the position of directly elected councillor. Cllr Peter Astwell, Beverley Town Council, Cllr Sue Smith and Cllr Donna Fuller, Woughton Community Council and Cllr Phil Barnett, Newbury Town Council have been elected to these positions.

There were two vacancies for the role of elected clerk available. Carl Hearn, Tavistock Town Council and Jane Biscombe, Weymouth Town Council have been elected to those two positions. 

NALC offers its congratulations to the newly elected committee members, thanks to all candidates standing for election and looks forward to working with the newly elected councillors and clerk in 2020.
