NALC launch Local Council Award Scheme review

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has begun a review of the Local Council Award Scheme (LCAS) criteria.

Evaluation and improvement play an essential part in making sure the LCAS meets the needs of the sector. As the LCAS reaches its five-year milestone, it provides an opportune time to carry out a review.

As part of the process, we are encouraging clerks, councillors, county associations and panel members to complete the survey.

The survey considers all three levels of the scheme (Foundation, Quality and Quality Gold) and the questions will address the criteria and evidence required at each level. The survey will close on 14 September 2020.

LCAS celebrates the achievements of local (parish and town) councils and provides them with a framework to support, improve and develop to meet their full potential.
