NALC opens nominations for leadership elections

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has opened the nomination process for its leadership and committee elections.

This year, National Assembly members have several elections taking place for committee seats and NALC's leadership. These include NALC chair and vice-chairs, Management Board, Finance and Scrutiny Committee, Policy Committee, Larger Councils Committee and the Smaller Councils Committee.

There are elections for directly elected councillors and clerks (who do not sit on NALC's National Assembly) to the Larger Councils Committee and the Smaller Councils Committee.

Each seat will be for two years, starting from January 2022 to December 2023.

The nomination period ends on 25 October 2021, with the election results announced in December 2021.
