Giving communities a planning voice

The Government held its National Planning Summit on 2 March 2015, which saw a range of speakers from government minister, Brandon Lewis MP to the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) chief executive, Jonathan Owen.

Neighbourhood planning allows local people to get the right type of development for their community.

There has been over 1,000 communities, including many local (parish and town) councils who have taken steps to producing a neighbourhood development plan.
