NALC and SLCC extend deadline for Martyn’s Law survey

Following the long-awaited Martyn’s Law standard tier consultation, the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) have issued a joint sector survey to inform their responses.

To allow as many local (parish and town) councils to give their views as possible, the survey deadline has now been extended to 29 February 2024. The survey will take at most five minutes to complete.

NALC and SLCC are working together through a steering group on their responses to the Home Office consultation and looking at how to support local councils best should the Draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill (Martyn’s Law) become law.

NALC thanks those who have completed the survey, which has provided helpful feedback for the sector response.
