NALC urges MPs to give communities planning right of appeal

Following campaigning by NALC, the Housing and Planning Bill was recently amended in the House of Lords to include a new clause giving parish and town councils a limited right of planning appeal.

NALC has today called on county associations and councils to write to their MPs to ask them to support this measure when the Bill is debated in the House of Commons on Tuesday, providing model text for county associations and councils to use in today’s chief executive’s blog (login required).
