Cranbrook & Sissinghurst Parish Council (Kent), Loftus Town Council (Cleveland), Perton Parish Council (Staffordshire) and Welton-by-Lincoln Parish Council (Lincolnshire) have all achieved the Quality Award. The Quality Award (known as Silver) demonstrates that a council achieves good practice in governance, community engagement and council improvement, going beyond its legal obligations and continuously seeking opportunities to improve and develop.

Birstall Parish Council (Leicestershire), Brockenhurst Parish Council (Hampshire), Bury Parish Council (Cambridgeshire), Cheddar Parish Council (Somerset), Compton Martin Parish Council (Avon), Kegworth Parish Council (Leicestershire), Owslebury Parish Council (Hampshire), Sampford Courtenay Parish Council and Sourton Parish Council (Devon), and Woughton Community Council (Milton Keynes) have all achieved the Foundation Award. LCAS has been designed to celebrate the successes of the best parish and town councils and provide a framework to support all councils in improving and developing to their full potential.

Congratulations to all parish and town councils awarded under the scheme. We encourage more parish and town councils to become accredited.
