NALC announces the latest Local Council Award Scheme results

We have announced the latest results for the Local Council Award Scheme (LCAS).

Haddenham Parish Council in Buckinghamshire, Haddenham Parish Council in Cambridgeshire and Gillingham Town Council in Dorset have achieved the Gold Award. The Gold Award demonstrates that a parish or town council aspires to excellence and is at the forefront of best practice by achieving a high standard in community governance, leadership and performance management.

Blaby Parish Council in Leicestershire, Drayton Bassett Parish Council in Staffordshire, Llangarron Parish Council in Herefordshire, Llanwarne and District Group Parish Council in Herefordshire, Stainland and District Parish Council in Yorkshire and Wivenhoe Town Council in Essex have achieved the Bronze Award. The Bronze Award demonstrates that a parish or town council has the required documentation and information to operate lawfully and according to standard practice and has the foundations and policies for improvement and development in place.

LCAS celebrates the successes of parish and town councils and provides a framework to support councils in improving and developing to their full potential.

Congratulations to all parish and town councils awarded under the scheme, and we encourage more parish and town councils to become accredited.
