Surveillance Camera Commissioner letter to local councils
Following Tony Porter recent letter to all police forces in England and Wales, the Surveillance Commissioner for England and Wales has now written to local (parish and town) councils in England and community and town councils in Wales.
The letter will be of particular interest to local councils who operate CCTV systems and draws attention to the importance of disclosure in the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice.
The official blog for the Surveillance Camera Commissioner also provides updates on what Mr Porter views as the current issues in the sector, ideas and invites views on the use of surveillance cameras.
