NALC features local councils combating climate change in Air Quality News

climate

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has written an article for Air Quality News magazine on why climate change is a local issue and how local (parish and town) councils are at the forefront of fighting it.

The article features the excellent work of three local councils: Frome Town Council, Somerset; Penrith Town Council, Cumbria; and Fownhope Parish Council, Herefordshire, and highlights the projects that they have undertaken locally to tackle climate change.

NALC supports its members in providing solutions to climate change through its website guidance, providing good practice examples and hosting events for members to hear from leading experts in the field.

NALC wants to spread the message to its 10,000 councils that climate change is a real threat to even the smallest communities and that local councils are taking the lead in pursuing sustainable communities.
