NALC publishes an analysis of council tax levels of local precepting authorities

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has published its annual analysis of local precepting authorities' council tax levels, including local (parish and town) councils.

The analysis is based on data published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and covers the following areas:

• The number of local councils by precept range
• Precept totals and changes
• New and disbanded local councils
• Band D totals, averages and changes
• Average precept and Band D changes by the county association
