Last week, the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) discussed the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill in parliament.

Cllr Keith Stevens, NALC chair, met with Baroness Hayman of Ullock, shadow spokesperson for Levelling, Housing, Communities and Local Government, about the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill. Cllr Stevens also met with Clive Betts MP, chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee

NALC covered a range of issues, including ensuring local (parish and town) councils' roles were better understood and not overlooked, remote meetings, stronger regime sanctions, and creating more local councils.
