National Assembly supports NALC's strategic direction

The strategic direction of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) was backed by its National Assembly on 11 July 2023.

NALC presented a strategic direction to the committee in response to selling its 109 Great Russell Street property, which prompted NALC to reassess its overall direction. The strategic direction aligns with the organisation's goals, financial plans, and accommodation needs. The direction will be developed further in the coming months.

Other matters discussed at the meeting include NALC committee election timescales, an update from on Net Zero Forum, progress on the work of the NALC National Network: Climate Emergency, and a presentation from NALC's partner Utility Aid about the importance of energy efficiency and cost reduction in energy consumption.
