NALC to attend party conferences

EVENT

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) will attend party conferences throughout September and October 2023 to promote the local (parish and town) council sector.

The party conferences are an opportunity for NALC to promote the sector and policies, raise the profile of local councils' critical work, and engage with key politicians and stakeholders.

NALC will attend the Conservative conference between 1 and 4 October 2023 in Manchester, the Labour conference between 8 and 11 October 2023 in Liverpool, the Liberal Democrat conference between 23 and 26 September 2023 in Bournemouth, and the Green conference between 6 and 8 October 2023 in Brighton.

NALC wants to engage as widely as possible at the party conferences and urges councillors attending to complete the form to be updated about NALC events, activities and engagement opportunities.

At the party conferences, NALC will be highlighting the work of local councils through its Did You Know  pamphlet, which includes key statistics, examples of how councils are changing and doing more, a series of essays from the Local Government Association's four political groups on why parishes matter and a link to NALC’s  Manifesto  which sets out our policy objectives for building stronger communities across England.
