SUMMARY

Minsterworth Parish Council is looking to appoint a new parish council clerk and finance officer. The role is interesting and varied. The hours are 8 per week and can be worked flexibly during the day or evening, but must include attendance at our monthly meetings which are held on a Monday evening. 

The main duties of the post include: 

  • Completing the administrative arrangements for the monthly meetings, including drafting the agenda and taking the minutes. 
  • Handling all incoming and outgoing correspondence on behalf of the parish council. 
  • Managing the budget, including the payment of invoices and the monthly reconciliation of the online bank account. 
  • Coordinating the councils responses to planning applications. 
  • Maintaining the website to provide regular updates and access to information. 

The remuneration is based on the National Association of Local Council’s pay scales, and will be dependent upon experience and qualifications, but will be at least £13.50 per hour.
