NALC launches new study tour programme

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has launched three new study tours across 2020/21 at three dynamic larger local (parish and town) councils.

Each study tour will centre around a theme that is relevant to the work of many larger councils. The tours are an excellent opportunity to learn, gain knowledge, share good practice and network.

The three study tours are:

  • Frome Town Council, Somerset on 8-9 June 2020 will focus on health and wellbeing — find out more
  • Folkestone Town Council, Kent on 7-8 September 2020 will focus on climate change — find out more
  • Biggleswade Town Council, Bedfordshire on 25-26 January 2021 will focus on strategic planning — find out more

Cllr Sue Baxter, chairman of NALC, said: "NALC is pleased to announce its study tour programme for 2020/21. It will be an excellent opportunity for our councillors to learn more about the work of larger councils. There is limited availability, so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment."

Twelve places are available to each study tour. Blachere Illumination sponsors study tours at Frome Town Council and Folkestone Town Council.
