Cllr Windsor, Newport Pagnell Town Council: said: “This is definitely the icing on the cake for all the hard work undertaken over a three year period by those residents, councillors and officers of the Town Council involved in the Steering Group, and for those many, many residents who voted yes to support the Neighbourhood Plan.”

Cllr Ken Browse, chairman of NALC, said: “We would like to congratulate Newport Pagnell on this major planning awards win and is just reward for the all hard work they put into their neighbourhood planning. And this is indeed award for the whole local council sector as it shines a major spotlight on the neighbourhood planning process and how this sector is the major driver of this new evolutionary form of community design and place making.”
